Belle & Paws

1. General

By booking an appointment with Belle & Paws, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure a safe, comfortable, and high-quality experience for every dog in our care.

2. Health & Safety

All dogs must be in good health at the time of their appointment. 

Owners are required to inform us of:

- Any medical conditions

- Skin sensitivities or allergies

- Behavioural concerns (e.g. anxiety, agression)

We reserve the right to refuse or stop a grooming session if a dog shows signs of illness, excessive stress, or behaviour that may pose a risk to themselves or others.

3. Vaccination & Parasite Control

For the safety of all dogs:

- Dogs should be up to date with vaccinations.

- Dogs should be free from fleas, ticks, or contagious conditions.

If parasites are found during grooming, treatment may be required and additional charges may apply.

4. Grooming Process

At Belle & Paws, each session is carried out with patience, care, and attention to your dog's comfort.

While we aim for the best possible grooming result:

- Coat condition, behaviour, and tolerance may affect the final outcome.

- In cases of severe matting, shaving may be necessary for the dog's welfare.

We will always prioritise your dog's safety and comfort over aesthetics.

5. Matting Policy

Severely matted coats can cause discomfort and skin issues.

By proceeding with grooming:

- You acknowledge that de-matting or shaving may be required. 

- There is a risk for minor skin irritation, sensitivity, or pre-existing conditions being revealed. 

Additional charges may apply depending on the time and care required.

6. Appointment and Late Arrival

Please arrive on time for your appointment. 

- Late arrivals may result in a shortened session or rescheduling.

- If you are significantly late, your appointment may be cancelled. 

This helps us maintain a calm and structured schedule for all dogs.

7. Cancellation Policy

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

- Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.

- Repeated no-shows may require a deposit for future bookings.

8. Pick-Up Policy

Owners will be notified when their dog is ready.

- We ask that dogs are collected promptly.

- Late pick-up may incur additional daycare or handling fees.

This ensures your dog remains comfortable and relaxed after their session.

9. Accidents & Emergencies

While every care is taken, grooming involves the use of tools and handling. 

By booking with us:

- You acknowledge there is a small risk of minor nicks, scratches or irritation. 

- In the event of an emergency, we will seek veterinary care if necessary. 

Any associated costs will be discussed with the owner.

10. Behaviour

Dogs displaying aggressive or unsafe behaviour may:

- Require additional handling fees. 

- Have their session stopped if necessary. 

We prioritise a calm and safe environment for both dogs and groomers.

11. Personal Belongings

Please label and inform us of any collars, accessories, or personal items. 

Belle & Paws is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.

12. Photography & Media

We may take photos or videos of your dog for:

- Grooming records

- Social media or marketing purposes.

If you prefer your dog not to be featured, please let us know.

13. Pricing

All prices are starting prices and may vary depending on:

- Coat condition

- Size and breed

- Behaviour and time required

We will always aim to communicate clearly before proceeding with additional charges.

14. Right to Refuse Service

Belle & Paws reserves the right to refuse service at any time if:

- The dog's condition is not suitable for grooming

- The behaviour poses a safety risk

- The terms and conditions are not respected

​

15. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
